These reviews are mixed. And all but one are more than five years old, so they don&#8217;t reflect how impressed (or not) customers have been with RealtyBid recently.<\/p>\n<p>The only recent review we uncovered came from a real estate agent in Minnesota who claimed that her client\u2019s home was being illegally listed on the website:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMy listing is on this website. This is a SCAM. My clients and myself never hired this company to list their house. The bank didn&#8217;t hire them to sell the house either. You cannot have two brokerages list the house without a Non-exclusive Agreement with all our signatures on it which I know this brokerage doesn&#8217;t have. This is illegal, fraud, and misrepresentation of this property and transaction.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u2014 Ivadel N., Feb. 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/83imMwmhzYoRUQbz7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Google<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We can\u2019t verify this realtor\u2019s accusations, but they highlight the importance of doing extra due diligence when buying a property on RealtyBid.<\/p>\n<p>RealtyBid does have a couple of five-star reviews, with one saying:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cGreat customer service.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u2014 Wendy U., 2019, <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/cdSccxZeMv7QTHZz8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Google<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The reviewer didn\u2019t provide any details of how RealtyBid provided great customer service, and their review is six years old. That said, it\u2019s worth acknowledging that at least some people have had a positive experience with RealtyBid.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"our-review\">In-depth RealtyBid review<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"service\">Service quality<\/h3>\n<div class=\"textbox\">\n<div class=\"textbox-content\">\n<p>\ud83d\udd11 Key points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RealtyBid offers a fairly standard online auction experience.<\/li>\n<li>Bid Assist can help buyers stay on top of auctions.<\/li>\n<li>High-volume investors get access to some extra perks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>RealtyBid online auctions are similar to what competitors offer. Bids are fairly easy to place, and there are some perks for active investors. For sellers, setting up a listing is also straightforward, although, unlike some competitors, you will need a real estate agent to do so.<\/p>\n<p>RealtyBid includes a Bid Assist function that allows you to set athemaximum price you\u2019re willing to bid on a property. If you\u2019re outbid, Bid Assist will enter a new bid amount on your behalf up to your maximum bid price. This feature increases the chances of winning an auction even if you can\u2019t monitor it yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Also, RealtyBid includes a VIP Investor Program for highly active bidders. Because RealtyBid is an online auction site, it is possible \u2014 although unlikely \u2014 that your property could get multiple bids that drive up the sale price.<\/p>\n<p>Realistically, however, you\u2019re unlikely to make close to fair market value on RealtyBid. Real estate investors are looking to make a profit, so they usually <a href=\"https:\/\/listwithclever.com\/real-estate-blog\/how-much-will-an-investor-pay-for-my-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pay less than market value for homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Also, many of the homes on RealtyBid are bank-owned and heavily discounted. If you list on RealtyBid, you\u2019ll be competing against these homes, so you\u2019ll likely need to price yours similarly in order to attract buyer interest.<\/p>\n<p>While every investor has their own investment strategy, many follow the 70% rule. The rule is to pay up to 70% of a property\u2019s after-repair value, minus the cost of repairs. In other words, you should generally expect buyers to offer you 30% below market value.<\/p>\n<p>A better way of ensuring you get a high-quality offer is by using <a href=\"https:\/\/listwithclever.com\/real-estate-blog\/clever-offers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clever Offers<\/a>. While the transaction fee varies from listing to listing, 5% or $2,500 (whichever is higher) is common, which is similar to what similar sites, like <a href=\"https:\/\/listwithclever.com\/real-estate-blog\/xome-reviews-how-it-works-alternatives-to-consider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Xome<\/a>, charge. There are no transaction fees for CWCOT listings.<\/p>\n<p>Buyer agent commission is another consideration and will be mentioned in the listings. Unlike traditional real estate listings, buyer agent commission is usually listed at a flat rate, often under $2,000.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, to bid on properties on RealtyBid, you\u2019ll have to make a $250 bid deposit. If you fail to complete the purchase of a bid you\u2019ve won, you\u2019ll lose this deposit (essentially turning it into a cancellation fee).<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re a seller, RealtyBid won&#8217;t charge you any fees to list and sell on the platform.
