I\u2019ve highlighted some of the summer\u2019s most exciting art exhibitions in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carylfineart.com\/blog\/summer-blog-series-visit-summer-art-exhibits-across-the-usa-part-1-nyc\"><span>New York City<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carylfineart.com\/blog\/summer-blog-series-visit-summer-art-exhibits-across-the-usa-part-2-chicago\"><span>Chicago<\/span><\/a>. Today, I\u2019m taking you to the mountains of North Carolina, to the artsy city of Asheville.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Chihuly at Biltmore Exhibit<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Biltmore Estate is a must-see when you\u2019re in the Asheville region. While there\u2019s something for everyone to enjoy about the estate, I think it\u2019s especially inspiring for artists. Whether you\u2019re inspired by interiors, furniture design, florals, landscapes, architecture, or history, Biltmore is sure to get your creative juices flowing!<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">This summer is a particularly good season to visit Biltmore, as they are having an art exhibit featuring the work of famed glass artist Dale Chihuly. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biltmore.com\/things-to-do\/events\/chihuly-at-biltmore\/\"><span>Chihuly at Biltmore<\/span><\/a> is a paid-ticket experience at Amherst at Deerpark, the event center at Biltmore. Not only can you marvel at his glass vessels and sculptures in an intimate setting, but you can also see his marvelous drawings. I\u2019m in awe of this artist\u2019s sense of shape and color!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Asheville is Teeming with Creativity and Charm<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Asheville is a great city to spend a few days. There are so many art galleries and high quality craft stores. You could get a big jump start on your holiday shopping in a place like Asheville, or come home with heirlooms for your own collection. And the southern food is delicious! If you\u2019re outdoorsy, there are ample scenic hiking opportunities in the area, as well as activities like fishing.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Recharge Your Creative Batteries While Traveling<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">I hope that you\u2019ve been having a great summer and that you\u2019ve been able to visit some new areas. Have you brought your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carylfineart.com\/blog\/create-a-travel-collage-kit\"><span>travel collage kit<\/span><\/a> or sketchbook with you to capture what inspires you? Remember that it\u2019s ok to step away from your studio and your regular routine, even if that feels jarring. Our creative process needs a rest and recharge, just like our bodies do!
