With steady growth in all aspects of our company, we are looking for a qualified in-house Legal Counsel to assist our team of talented professionals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactively identify legal and reputational risks and recommend solutions that balance risk with business impact<\/li>\n<li>Keep leadership informed of legislation and regulatory rulings that may affect the company&#8217;s business<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and assist with company filings<\/li>\n<li>Provide legal advice on special projects such as acquisitions and divestitures<\/li>\n<li>Develop and conduct training programs to educate employees and promote an ethical and compliant culture<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and consult with outside counsel, as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Intellectual Property Law<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing and protecting intellectual capital<\/li>\n<li>Licensing inventions<\/li>\n<li>Drafting licensing agreements<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating settlements<\/li>\n<li>Conducting IP asset due diligence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Contract Law<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review and negotiate vendor and client contracts, as well as agreements related to business development and requests for proposals<\/li>\n<li>Address legal queries from business teams relating to customer relationships, compliance, intellectual property, and privacy topics<\/li>\n<li>Provide legal guidance on contract interpretation and related issues<\/li>\n<li>Gather information on business issues to ensure agreements accurately describe business capabilities and address the legal risks associated with the company\u2019s business relationships<\/li>\n<li>Manage legal risks and provide solutions for resolving customer complaints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Export Control Law<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing and implementing export compliance programs designed to facilitate export transactions that withstand government scrutiny<\/li>\n<li>Drafting contractual assurances, technology control plans, and transaction and customer screening procedures<\/li>\n<li>Performing or directing internal compliance reviews<\/li>\n<li>Assessing export jurisdiction and classification, and drafting commodity jurisdiction (CJ) and commodity classification requests<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with license and agreement applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Juris Doctor or LLM from an accredited law school.
