As I was tasting the bourbon, I was looking out my window at the piles of snow. The vanilla notes made me wish to be somewhere warmer and more tropical or at least for spring to arrive in DC. I thought the bourbon would pair well with berries and citrus but also wanted to bring out the almond notes. While there is sweetness from the amaretto and berries, the bourbon gives it a really strong base and the flavors marry beautifully.<\/p>\n

As I was tasting the bourbon, I was looking out my window at the piles of snow. The vanilla notes made me wish to be somewhere warmer and more tropical or at least for spring to arrive in DC. I thought the bourbon would pair well with berries and citrus but also wanted to bring out the almond notes. While there is sweetness from the amaretto and berries, the bourbon gives it a really strong base and the flavors marry beautifully.<\/p>\n
