My family was with me, and asked if I miss it?\u00a0 Do I miss the search for breweries?\u00a0 Yes\u2026\u00a0 I must admit I do.\u00a0 However, the dreaded cough, two-week quarantine that became two years and everything has changed on how you visit, enjoy, and explore.\u00a0 I pondered this question for a long time as I\u2019m an over thinker.\u00a0 In fact, for the past few years, it has been on my mind.\u00a0 What is it I miss?\u00a0 I know the new, the collection of adding that new brewery to my list just like Professor Slughorn and his collection.\u00a0 The other day it got real for me. With my wife, and she ordered a beer, and I was like wait, what did you just order.\u00a0\u00a0 We\u2019ll get into that in a minute.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11671 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/brewdad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Wayback-machine.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"160\"\/><br \/>First, let\u2019s take the Wayback machine to the late 90\u2019s early 00\u2019s there were 90 breweries in Washington state. When one announced they were opening back then I almost immediately was planning a trip.\u00a0 \u00a0Now days with over 400+ breweries and new ones popping up weekly. One must plan the trip and even multiple trips just to places like Ballard. So, it hit me. \u00a0I have stopped putting my thoughts\/adventures down and why? Overwhelmed, life and the cough.\u00a0 Let\u2019s see how we can change that.\u00a0 Insert Mojo reactivation elixir\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11672 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/brewdad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Seattle-maps.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"260\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Back to the revelation I had while out with my wife.\u00a0 I was wondering it has been some time since my last trip to many of the OG breweries that started the adventures.\u00a0 Legacy Breweries,\u00a0 we call them now and for those who remember, these were where we\u00a0 started our first tastings.\u00a0 Now, my wife (Laurie) who has never been most of these places of which I can\u2019t wait to show her the history and get a pint to retaste\u00a0 of the OGs brews.\u00a0 Places such as Maritime Pacific Brewing one of Ballard\u2019s first.\u00a0 Need to venture even further north and see Diamond Knot Brewing and retaste and relive the feel of the bar and beer that has such rich history.\u00a0 Also on my mind Elliot Bay Brewing, Scuttlebutt, Lazy Boy, Boundary Bay Brewing and so many others that we consider legacy breweries. Oh, I know I did not mention many others.\u00a0 This leads to another question and a big elephant in the room for most of us beer geeks.\u00a0 Elysian Brewing of which I\u2019m still trying to unravel, understand, and forgive do I visit them?\u00a0 By the way this was the beer Laurie ordered (Elysian Space Dust) that got me doing all this thinking.<\/p>\n<p>So, as I get back into telling the Beer story, I recently got BrewDad out from the web pawnshop dusted it off refilled the magic in me and am now ready to start telling the stories.\u00a0 With the recent Bremerton trip I saw, felt, and tasted the magic.\u00a0 It is time to get back out.\u00a0 Plans in the makings \u2013 OGs brewery tour for the summer.\u00a0 Whidbey Island tour with lots to see and enjoy.\u00a0 Las Vegas and much much more.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a brewery, pub and or place I must check out let me know.\u00a0 Comment and I will do my best to see and taste all that I can.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Visiting Seattle recently brought back many brewery adventures\/stories.
