{"id":210968,"date":"2025-04-28T15:22:33","date_gmt":"2025-04-28T15:22:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/accounting\/remote-tax-and-accounting-candidates-for-hire-2\/"},"modified":"2025-04-28T15:22:33","modified_gmt":"2025-04-28T15:22:33","slug":"remote-tax-and-accounting-candidates-for-hire-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=210968","title":{"rendered":"Remote Tax and Accounting Candidates for Hire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>As you probably know, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goingconcern.com\/2010\/01\/bdo-seidman-waited-to-change-their-name-because-they-had-a-really-special-birthday-coming-up\/\">BDO has spent 2010 celebrating the firm\u2019s 100th anniversary<\/a> in the U.S.  Throughout the year there has been various celebrations along with Jack Weisbaum\u2019s successful run as Dos Equis doppleg\u00e4nger.<\/p>\n<p>The apex of the firm\u2019s centennial is going on as we speak in Orlando, at the firm\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bdo.com\/news\/pr\/1515\">Centennial Partners Meeting<\/a> where 700 some-odd partners, alums and their better halves are celebrating the big one hundo.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>A brief word from the most interesting accounting CEO in the world:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIn 1910, there were a little more than 2000 certified public accountants (CPAs) in the United States, that\u2019s approximately the same amount currently working at BDO. Today, there are hundreds of thousands CPAs, but just a handful of national firms that have been able to grow and prosper across the country and build networks with member firms around the world,\u201d said Jack Weisbaum, CEO of BDO USA. \u201cOur firm bears little physical resemblance to the firm Maximillian L. Seidman started a century ago, and it is sure to change drastically in the coming century. What will stay the same is our unwavering commitment to clients, our capacity to adapt to change and our ability to find opportunity in every challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition to the Weisbaum speech, last night attendees were treated the aforementioned <em><strong>two-hour Disney production<\/strong><\/em> about the history of the firm.  <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Entitled \u201cProud Past \u2013 Bold Future,\u201d the firm\u2019s story is told with an extensive cast and musical arrangements, interspersed with video interviews of BDO partners \u2013 from both past and present \u2013 as the firm\u2019s progress is tracked over the past century.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A Disney production sounds nice but <em><strong>two hours<\/strong><\/em>?  Beauty and the Beast was nominated for Best Picture and it only ran for 84 minutes.  Not that you can fairly compare the 100 years of getting to know BDO to animated bestiality.
