A lot of time and care was spent building what we could instead of leaning into full CGI for everything.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote wp_automatic_readability=\"7\">\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to try and stay true to the silent film genre, so we did as much of the effects as possible practically.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\u201cObviously there are elements where that just wasn\u2019t possible. The dancing table, for example, was a combination of a choreographed dancer and visual effects. The Alt.VFX team built the table around the dancer\u2019s performance, always with the idea that it had to move like a table could, if a table could dance. Things like this can get too cartoony too quickly, so that level of realism was always something we all had in mind.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the other films as well, we wanted to pay homage to the genre by solving things in a way that felt authentic to how they made films in the silent age.
