The magic of Shondaland is still alive and well, as her Netflix comedy-drama series The Residence occupied first place for the week of March 24, according to Nielsen\u2019s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart.<\/p>\n

In its second week of showing, the murder mystery series from Shonda Rhimes picked up nearly 500 million more minutes, according to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, for a total of 1.839 billion viewing minutes. This was the show\u2019s first full week.<\/p>\n

Starring Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Kylie Minogue, Molly Griggs, and Susan Kelechi-Watson, The Residence commanded 54% of watch time from adults 50+. It was also a favorite among Black audiences, capturing 19% of the total viewing audience.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Netflix had five titles in the Top 10, with three being original titles and the remaining being shared distribution rights with other streaming services. Only three titles had more than a billion viewing minutes for the week of March 24.<\/p>\n

Viewers can\u2019t seem to get enough of Reacher as it muscled its way back to second place from fourth with 1.303 billion minutes viewed for Amazon\u2019s Prime Video. The series, which concluded its third season on March 27, was the most-streamed title for the month with 6.6 billion viewing minutes.<\/p>\n

Max\u2019s The White Lotus joined the billionaire\u2019s club as it landed in third place with 1.106 billion viewing minutes. This was followed by Disney+\u2019s Bluey, which had 968 million viewing minutes.<\/p>\n

Last week\u2019s leader, the Netflix crime drama Adolescence<\/a>, fell to fifth with 948 million minutes viewed.<\/p>\n

The bottom half of the chart comprised Grey\u2019s Anatomy, shared with Hulu and Netflix at No. 6 with 930 million viewing minutes, followed by another shared title, NCIS, with distribution rights shared between Hulu, Netflix, and Paramount+ at No. 7 with 855 million minutes viewed.<\/p>\n

Paramount\u2019s second appearance on the chart is courtesy of the drama 1923, giving the streaming platform 776 million minutes viewed to take eighth place. No. 9 sees Netflix\u2019s final title in the chart, with the Sofia Carson film The Life List amassing 755 million minutes viewed.<\/p>\n

The final entrant in the chart is Disney+\u2019s Moana 2 with 750 million viewing minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
