If the reporting to insurers is not done on a timely basis then 21st<\/sup> century and most other companies may charge you a 20% penalty. GMS may charge 30% penalty. It\u2019s highly important to let them know about your situation. <\/p>\nDuring this call, you will provide them with policy number, name and date of birth of the insured and a brief idea about the emergency. The claims department will provide you the claim number and forms. These forms are submitted back to the claims company along with receipts of medical bills. Subsequently, if the hospitalization was required then the insurance company will be directly paying the bills except the deductible amount chosen. They may also ask you for proof of travel date such as a copy of the stamped pages of the passport.
