The system misinterpreted information from Ray&#8217;s website about her dog Marcy, who was born in 2015, attributing these details to Ray herself.<\/p>\n<p>Ray <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/lilyraynyc\/status\/1914111888708739176\">posted on X<\/a> on April 21, 2025 at 2:20 AM: &#8220;The &#8216;she&#8217; on this page of my website refers to my dog, not me.&#8221; The post garnered over 5,000 views and sparked discussion among SEO professionals about the AI&#8217;s accuracy issues.<\/p>\n<p>This incident reflects broader challenges with Google&#8217;s AI Overview feature that emerged in 2024 when the system provided erroneous advice like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cd11gzejgz4o\">recommending eating glue and rocks<\/a>. X&#8217;s AI Grok says: &#8220;The AI Overview misstep reflects broader issues with Google&#8217;s AI search features, as seen in 2024 when AI Overviews gave erroneous advice like eating glue and rocks, sparking online backlash and highlighting Google&#8217;s struggle to balance speed and accuracy in AI deployment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The error gained additional attention when users discovered the AI system also failed to find Marcy the dog&#8217;s age, despite it being explicitly stated on the webpage.
