Whether you\u2019re using one to post your company\u2019s daily hours or trying to tell customers what your company does, we all need signage. However, posting a sign in your storefront is a lot cheaper than renting a billboard\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When we think about signage in advertising, we often think about hyper-local advertising. Choosing the right place for your sign is an aspect of targeting, leading to either persona or geo-targeting. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Persona targeting is an attempt to predict where your customers will visit by evaluating their interests. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indoormedia.com\/blog\/5-keys-to-successfully-promoting-your-fast-serve-restaurant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">fast-food restaurant<\/a> may post a cheeky sign outside a gym to lure customers in after their workout, but they\u2019d probably be better off posting an ad for their drive-thru off the freeway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">With the right database, geo-targeting is a little easier. Geo-targeting is when advertisers select an area to advertise within, depending on where their customers live or work. A nail salon may choose to post signs in surrounding neighborhoods near their salon or advertise directly where most of their clients live. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This is why collecting information about your customers is an important part of selecting where to advertise. The more educated your approach, the more successful your campaign can be.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">What Can You Accomplish With A Billboard?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Many advertisers may choose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indoormedia.com\/blog\/is-print-dead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">print-media<\/a> to hand out coupons or vouchers for customers to redeem. A billboard on the side of a busy freeway that sees people flying by and moving along from state to state might try to <a href=\"https:\/\/mascola.com\/insights\/5-things-that-all-great-tourist-attraction-billboards-have\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer follow\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">draw tourists<\/a> in by painting themselves as a must-see attraction.
