On thursday an official order was passed that states, The<strong> Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC)<\/strong>, directed by\u00a0 <strong>Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>, has finalized the names of four<strong> 1989 batch<\/strong> <strong>Indian Revenue Service (IRS)<\/strong> officers of the Income Tax cadre\u2014<strong>Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Sanjay Bahadur, L. Rajasekhar Reddy and G. Aparna Rao.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FIU\u2019s former director, <strong>Pankaj Kumar Mishra<\/strong>, has been providing service as a <strong>member (finance)<\/strong> in the<strong> Atomic Energy Commission.<\/strong> Meanwhile,<strong> Sanjay Bhadur<\/strong> is working as the principal director general (training) of the<strong> Income Tax department<\/strong> in Delhi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L. Rajasekhar Reddy<\/strong> is serving as principal chief commissioner (TDS) at Chennai, and G. Aparna Rao as principal chief commissioner at Bengaluru.<\/p>\n<p>The decision-making body of the <strong>Direct Taxes administration<\/strong> of the country and the<strong> Income Tax Department<\/strong> is the <strong>CBDT.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT)<\/strong>, operating under the Department of Revenue in the Union Ministry of Finance, is led by a chairman and can have up to<strong> six members<\/strong> at the rank of Special Secretary<\/p>\n<p>At present, <strong>Chairman Ravi Agrawal (1988 batch IRS)<\/strong> is leading the CBDT, while the other two members who are serving are Prabodh Seth and Ramesh Narain Parbat of the <strong>1989 batch.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"background: #000; \">\n<p>Join StudyCafe Membership.
