This expression from Speyside\u2019s Glenrothes was matured in a Maderia wine octave, which yielded only 69 bottles. Distilled in 2009, this Glenrothes was bottled at 11-Years-Old, at 58.1 % ABV.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4fe637fc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4fe637fc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tVery expressive sweet opening with rich wine fruity notes. With a little time and air, the initial sweetness gives way to rich chocolate, toffee and sweet raisins and dark fruits. There\u2019s some underlying floral notes of honeysuckle and heather.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-31ff4ce8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"31ff4ce8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRich and very sweet fruity flavours dominate, it\u2019s a combination of canned fruit cocktail on syrup and fruit salad sweets. There\u2019s a thick syrupy sweet mouthfeel. A little chocolate before some final flavours of drying oak and all spice.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3ef5d6dc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3ef5d6dc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMedium long, with sweet fruits, milk chocolate, and oak.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-67f9614e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"67f9614e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA very sweet Glenrothes, which is quite different from the mainstream sherried Glenrothes expressions widely available. I enjoyed the varied fruity notes, and considering the 58.1% ABV, this was a very easy drinking whisky \u2013 you could easily think the ABV was much lower.
