\nWines Limited, based initially in London and then in Sittingbourne in
\nKent, used cold calling tactics and then failed to purchase or allocate
\nwines to customers who had paid for their investments. The scheme
\noffered investors returns over 12 months to five years, at a time when
\nthey claimed the property market and shares were less attractive.<\/p>\n
\naccepted disqualification undertakings from Craig Cooper and Jefferey
\nKushner, preventing them from acting as directors for 11 and 9 years
\nrespectively.<\/p>\n
\nlived in Canada, and allowed Cooper, who had previous experience in the
\nindustry, to run the operation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nFine Wines Limited there was insufficient wine held in the bonded
\nwarehouse to satisfy customers\u2019 claims.<\/p>\n
\npersonal benefit, used his own personal bank account for the receipt of
\ncompany funds and was paid at least one third share of \u00a3114,106 in
\ndividends. Kushner was negligent in failing to monitor the company
\naccount, allowing it to be used for non-commercial benefits, but also
\nreceived at least one third share of \u00a3114,106 in dividends.<\/p>\n\n
\nDirectors Disqualification Act is to ensure proper standards of conduct
\nof company directors are maintained and to raise those standards where
\nappropriate.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n
