You can do it by hand too, but it\u2019s a very stiff, crumbly mixture and an electric <a class=\"tasty-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-tasty-links-append-disclosure=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3zC5qf9\">mixer<\/a> can make things a little easier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Get the right consistency:<\/strong> You want the filling to look crumbly in the bowl, but it should hold together when you squeeze it in your hand.  If you need to, add slightly more peanut butter or powdered sugar to get it to the perfect texture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Melt the chocolate:<\/strong> You can do this over a double-boiler or in the microwave.  I like to do quick 20-second bursts, stirring after each until the chocolate is smooth.  Then work in a little oil to thin it out so it\u2019s not too gloppy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let them set:<\/strong> You could pop them in the fridge if you\u2019re in a hurry, but sometimes that can create a whitish, dull finish on the chocolate.  This is called \u201cbloom\u201d and it\u2019s perfectly harmless, just not as pretty.
