{"id":191764,"date":"2025-04-19T00:14:47","date_gmt":"2025-04-19T00:14:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/recipes\/category-a-b\/beer\/okanagan-fest-of-ale-a-success\/"},"modified":"2025-04-19T00:14:47","modified_gmt":"2025-04-19T00:14:47","slug":"okanagan-fest-of-ale-a-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=191764","title":{"rendered":"Okanagan Fest of Ale a Success!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>April 14,2025 \u2013 A hopping good time was had by all who attended the 28th Annual <strong>Okanagan Fest of Ale<\/strong> in Penticton this past weekend April 11 &amp; 12, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>50 BC based craft brewers were on hand at the <strong>Penticton Trade and Convention Centre<\/strong> to showcase more than 150 craft beers, ciders and now seltzers to beverage enthusiasts from near and far. \u201cWe had an awesome time this weekend and are thrilled with the success of the event. We are very fortunate to attract some of the best brewers and cideries to the event as well as guests with a keen interest in craft beers and ciders,\u201d explained <em>Michael Stokker<\/em>, Okanagan Fest of Ale Society President. \u201cEveryone seemed to be enjoying themselves at the festival, and we heard really positive feedback from guests and breweries throughout the weekend\u201d said <em>Stokker <\/em>\u201cand with net proceeds from the event going to charity, everyone benefits!\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to an outstanding lineup of craft beers, ciders, seltzers and cask ales, there was a great selection of food and fabulous entertainment both inside and out.\u00a0\u201cThis year, we brought\u00a0back the indoor\/outdoor model with the \u2018Hopyard\u2019 in full swing. The weather was not 100% on our side this year, but everyone still brought the energy and the Hopyard was hopping for the whole weekend\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>The Okanagan Fest of Ale also has a reputable awards program as well\u00a0\u201cWe were thrilled to once again have such an esteemed panel of judges here with us at the festival for our awards,\u201d says <em>Warren Everton<\/em>, Okanagan Fest of Ale Judging Chair. \u201cThey had a difficult job tasting and evaluating over 100 different beers to determine the best entries in 13 different categories and then to agree on the overall Best in Show award. The winners represent an amazing collection of the best beer and ciders around our province.
