While for some this has been expected for a while, it may still come as a surprise for many, especially if you\u2019ve been putting off the implementation of Google Analytics 4.<\/p>\n<h2>Dates to Know<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-41342 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.blastanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Google-Sunsetting-Universal-Analytics_Dates-to-Know_v3.png\" alt=\"A person writes in a notebook-style planner or diary\" width=\"1040\" height=\"433\" \/><br \/>\nThe dates that you need to know are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>July 1, 2023<\/strong> &#8211; Free Universal Analytics properties will stop processing hits.<\/li>\n<li><strong>October 1, 2023<\/strong> &#8211; 360 Universal Analytics properties will stop processing hits.<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 1, 2024<\/strong> &#8211; Data in UA becomes unavailable for reporting purposes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Google Analytics 4 Enhancements and Features<\/h2>\n<p>Google&#8217;s new analytics platform, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), is an exciting step forward in architecture and capabilities. The move away from the Page tracking model to an Event tracking model, which allows you to unify your data across web and applications, has been welcomed by the industry.
