A portion will also be bottled to be included in a future curated set.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Oloroso Cask-Aged Imperial Stout \u2013 The remaining brew will be matured in Oloroso casks, allowing the beer to develop additional depth and complexity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Single Grain Scotch Whisky \u2013 The same Imperial Stout recipe will then be distilled into whisky and laid down to mature for a period of 3-4 years in the same casks used to age the cask-aged imperial stout release.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"\/>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"\">Upon completion of the whisky\u2019s maturation, there will be a three-part collection, offering consumers a unique opportunity to explore the transformation of a single recipe across beer, cask-aging, and whisky distilling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Head brewer\/distiller and company director Euan MacEachern said \u201cWe are delighted to be partnering with Northern Monk on the first of our beer to whisky exploration projects. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIt marks the beginning of a wider initiative to explore the relationship between brewing and distilling through collaborations with leading craft brewers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cFuture collaborations will experiment with a range of styles, including Barley Wines, Doppelbocks, Imperial Reds, and Sour Beers, with the aim of demonstrating that the style of beer, or wash as it\u2019s known in the whisky world, has a significant influence on the flavour of the whisky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cAt Northern Monk, we\u2019ve always been passionate about pushing the boundaries of what beer can be,\u201d added Brian Dickson, head brewer and co-founder of Northern Monk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThis collaboration is a perfect example of that.
