{"id":189765,"date":"2025-04-17T22:58:18","date_gmt":"2025-04-17T22:58:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/business\/real-estate\/cannon-park-deal-bubbleinfo-com\/"},"modified":"2025-04-17T22:58:18","modified_gmt":"2025-04-17T22:58:18","slug":"cannon-park-deal-bubbleinfo-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=189765","title":{"rendered":"Cannon Park Deal | bubbleinfo.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-123709\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bubbleinfo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Image-2025-04-17T105004.439.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"670\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CARLSBAD \u2014 It has been a long time coming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After 12 years, the city of Carlsbad, San Diego Gas &amp; Electric and NRG Energy, and its subsidiary Cabrillo Power LLC, have agreed on a land settlement for property on Agua Hedionda Lagoon and along Carlsbad Boulevard and Cannon Drive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The city and two energy companies have been haggling since 2013 over the deal, now known as the Seaside Agreement, but the City Council approved the deal during Tuesday\u2019s meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The deal will see the city take ownership of more than 5 acres at the site of SDG&amp;E\u2019s North Central Service Center along Cannon Drive and Carlsbad Boulevard, Cannon Park, the middle and inner lagoons, 5.7 acres of land on the north shore of the lagoon and more, according to Carlsbad Deputy City Manager Gary Barberio, who has worked on the deal since 2013.
