We consider these people as impact players. Lochlea Distillery\u2019s<\/a> impact player is John Campbell<\/a>. He\u2019s their Production Manager and Master Blender who spent over 27 years at Laphroaig<\/a> as their Distillery Manager. Given all that, we\u2019re thinking he knows a thing or two about making really excellent whisky!<\/p>\n

In today\u2019s review, we\u2019re discussing the Lochlea Our Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky<\/a> which comes from the Scottish Lowlands. Here are a few words about this dram taken directly from the Lochlea website:<\/p>\n

Our core single malt expression, Lochlea \u2018Our Barley\u2019 sits alongside our seasonal limited-edition whiskies. It is made from and inspired by our barley, grown here on Lochlea Farm.<\/em>
Production Director John Campbell has carefully honed this recipe using his years of experience, using a combination of first-fill Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and STR casks. This results in a whole new level of depth and complexity to the final whisky. Lochlea \u2018Our Barley\u2019 is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.<\/em><\/p>\n
