This limited-edition bottle is the brand\u2019s first permanent age statement in over 100 years, with only 2,500 bottles to be available in the United Kingdom. The product will become an annual release to celebrate the modern whiskey-making expertise of the Jack Daniel Distillery, while paying tribute to the brand\u2019s founder and history.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last decade, Jack Daniel\u2019s Master Distiller Chris Fletcher has been experimenting to develop a product that would honour Jack Daniel\u2019s whiskey that it was bottling at the end of the 1800\u2019s. Fletcher evolved the distillery\u2019s previous aged methods by maturing Jack Daniel\u2019s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey in oak barrels that were relocated throughout the barrelhouse to extend the aging process over the past ten years.<\/p>\n<p>The 10-Year-Old has been hand-crafted by the Jack Daniel\u2019s distillery team in Lynchburg over the last 10 summers, with the bottle design inspired by the brand\u2019s history, featuring a hand-drawn iteration of the original cartouche that appeared on Jack Daniel\u2019s aged-stated bottles a century ago.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients of Jack Daniel\u2019s 10-Year-Old remains the same as Jack Daniel\u2019s Tennessee Whiskey, comprising 80% corn, 12% malted barley,\u00a0 and 8% rye. The end result is a more complex, hand-crafted whiskey with a rare flavour profile. Bottled at 97 proof, a first for the Jack Daniel Distillery, Jack Daniel\u2019s 10-Year-Old features hints of dry fig and raisin, combined with oak, butterscotch and soft fruit and smoke on the pallet, finishing with notes of sweet tobacco and spice.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Daniel\u2019s Master Distiller, Chris Fletcher, comments on the new product,<em> \u201cWe\u2019ve been experimenting over the last decade to hand-craft a whiskey with a rare flavour profile, to give Jack Daniel\u2019s loyal consumers a taste of something new and exciting while honouring our heritage.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jack Daniel\u2019s 10-Year-Old is made to the highest quality for the Jack Daniel Distillery; bottled at 97 proof, this is a first for us and an important addition to our super premium portfolio. With only 2,500 of these bottles available, we\u2019re proud to have created a unique limited-edition product with a balanced and delicate flavour in every sip.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, Jack Daniel\u2019s has launched a special limited-edition 10-Year-Old cocktail at The Connaught Bar. Comprising of Jack Daniels 10-Year-Old, mixed with Three Cents Cherry Soda, Silver Needle Tea, Ginger Wine and Mint Leaf, the Silver Seventeen cocktail is inspired by an original creation of the Connaught Bar celebrating the history of the Cobbler. The Silver Seventeen is available at The Connaught Bar for \u00a345, available now for the next six months.<\/p>\n<p>Priced at \u00a3110 per bottle, the Jack Daniel\u2019s 10-Year-Old is best served and enjoyed neat.
