When I, Yvonne from Women’s Fitness Adventures, reached out to Anne, the owner of Hiking New Zealand, with the idea of organising a women’s hiking trip in New Zealand, neither of us anticipated the profound journey ahead.

From our very first conversation, it was evident that our core values aligned seamlessly. We both believed in creating inclusive adventures where every adventurer felt valued and empowered. Our shared commitment to empathy, encouragement, and unwavering support, all delivered without judgement, became the cornerstone of our collaboration.

Over the years, our partnership has flourished, allowing us to craft experiences that resonate deeply with women who are seeking connection with nature and themselves. The synergy between our teams means that planning new adventures now requires minimal effort – guided by feedback from previous trips and a shared vision for future journeys.

When our 10-year business anniversary approached, we knew there was no better way to celebrate than with a hike in New Zealand. Anne and her team were the first and only company we approached to craft something special in their remarkable country. True to form, they delivered an unforgettable experience that encapsulated the essence of our enduring partnership.

The 2020 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges, but it also reinforced the strength of our alliance. Together, we navigated the uncertainties, ensuring that all parties involved – customers, suppliers and our teams – supported one another. Our collective goal was to emerge from the crisis resilient and ready to welcome our female adventurers once again.

Yvonne & Anne

Our collaboration is a testament to the power of women-led businesses in the adventure travel sector. By joining forces across the oceans, we’ve not only expanded our horizons but also created a supportive community for women adventurers. Our partnership exemplifies how aligning missions and values can lead to enriching experiences that empower and inspire.

As members of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), we are proud to contribute to a global network that champions sustainable and inclusive tourism. Our story underscores the significance of collaboration in fostering growth and innovation within the industry.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to empowering women through adventure, continually crafting journeys that celebrate resilience, camaraderie, and the unyielding spirit of exploration.

For further information contact:

Hiking New Zealand

Women’s Fitness Adventures

Contributing members are responsible for the accuracy of content contributed to the Member News section of AdventureTravelNews.

Eight years ago, a simple phone call between two passionate women laid the foundation for a transformative partnership in the adventure travel industry.
