margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"4000\" data-original-width=\"3000\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/img\/b\/R29vZ2xl\/AVvXsEgGI5kR6At-cvZYz1XUNAbUZ2ewGHK8fEvfFfvK4sS9Or6pEHiKo2H7weE02OtqU2g7IwiOLFeJdNvCh_1ZloMBoYo47v3qVuE8eZF9fnCLFj7O938PqxZ_0x25ixnzz7ZAJQ9XqtcHFibAu6LV04fdobs8T4F0lQIHPiLWe9g1Y_CHk8myyuzTZsw1OP9b\/s320\/20250223_202408.jpg\" width=\"240\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">I do enjoy buying things when there is a sale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">I am dipping into my war chest and nibbling at OCBC and Alibaba\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">OCBC because I think it is still the cheapest amongst the three banks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Annualising the regular dividend gives me a 5.5% yield.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Based on a 50% payout ratio, this is attractive to me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Of course, there is also a special dividend on top of this but that is a bonus to me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"color: #660000;\"><br \/><\/span> <br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"color: #660000;\"><br \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">As for Alibaba, I have made videos on this and why I thought there was a good chance of seeing HK$160 per share again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">So, I added to my position as its price plunged to around HK$110 per share.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">I will probably add if it goes to HK$100 per share as that is where I see a major support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">I always say we can never be too sure and that is why we need insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">A war chest is insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Insurance has a cost.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">In the case of a war chest, opportunity cost.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Some people don&#8217;t like paying for insurance and prefer not to have it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Well, different strokes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">As for my 1Q 2025 passive income, it amounted to $37,008.44.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">This is a slight reduction from a year ago primarily because of a reduction in exposure to Sabana REIT.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Contribution from CLCT also reduced this year as China struggles to recover.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">The reduction amounted to $2,000 or so which isn&#8217;t a tragedy, to be sure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"color: #660000;\"><br \/><\/span> <br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"color: #660000;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">However, I am aware that I will probably see a larger reduction next year as I expect lower contribution from IREIT as their Berlin property is being repositioned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">The expected higher dividends from DBS, OCBC and UOB should provide some relief as they form almost 50% of my portfolio collectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">In closing, I apologize for not replying to comments as I do not have the mental or emotional capacity with stuff that has been going on in my life these few weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">All of us should have a plan, our own plan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">If AK can do it, so can you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"color: #660000;\"><br \/><\/span> <br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: #660000;
