At the time<br \/>\nI couldn\u2019t find a HE laundry detergent that accomplished all three<br \/>\nimportant tasks and ended up making  my own powdered laundry<br \/>\ndetergent. Problem solved.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I had leftover detergent from the old washing machine that<br \/>\nlet me tell you,it\u00a0 is NOT a great idea to use in a HE washing machine!<br \/>\nHowever, that liquid laundry detergent is great for pretreating laundry<br \/>\nstains so it didn\u2019t go to waste.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Slowly but surely I started<br \/>\nmaking other laundry cleaning supplies like  laundry stain<br \/>\nspray,\u00a0static cling fighter,\u00a0wrinkle releaser, dryer sheets<br \/>\nand wool wash save time (it takes me less than 15 minutes to make<br \/>\nthis stuff) and money. It also cuts down on our household waste too. Share it with<br \/>\n  your friends <\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><b>Wet and rub a bar of laundry soap<\/b> like <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3C6XqSD\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>Zote<br \/>\n\t(learn more about my favorite here)<\/b><\/span><\/a> or<a href=\"https:\/\/www.blogger.com\/#\"><br \/>\n\t<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3w7833M\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>Fels<br \/>\n\tNaptha (you can buy it here)<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0on the stain before<br \/>\n\tpopping in the water. <b>Note:<\/b> For those of you who don&#8217;t like<br \/>\n\tto use animal products both of these laundry soaps have<br \/>\n\tanimal\u00a0tallow in it. This isn&#8217;t an issue for me but it may be<br \/>\n\tfor you.\n\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>Soak stained items in <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blogger.com\/#\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>oxygen<br \/>\n\tbleach (there are several options here<\/b><\/span><\/a><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blogger.com\/#\">)<\/a><br \/>\n\tdissolved in water <\/b>also works wonders.\n\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>Pour a bit of liquid laundry detergent (or add water to<br \/>\n\tpowdered\u00a0laundry detergent to make a paste) directly on stain<br \/>\n\tand\u00a0scrub the stain with\u00a0an old toothbrush<\/b> is also<br \/>\n\teffective and something I use all of the time with tough stains. Why<br \/>\n\tbuy more items than you have to, right?\n\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>Scrub the stain with an old toothbrush and your favorite<br \/>\n\tstain fighter<\/b>. Combine 1 cup of borax<br \/>\n\t(you can get it here,) 1 cup of washing soda<br \/>\n\t(learn<br \/>\n\tthe difference between washing soda and baking soda here,) and 1\/4 to 1\/2 cup of grated soap. I think laundry<br \/>\n\tbar soap (there are several options here) works<br \/>\n\tmuch better than bar bath soap. To save time, I make it 6 batches at<br \/>\n\ta time which only takes 15 minutes and is enough to fill the big<br \/>\n\trepurposed protein powder container I use to store it.
