As the capital of West Bengal, the city is intertwined with India\u2019s colonial past, and remnants of that era can still be seen today. With a population of nearly 18 million, Kolkata plays a crucial role in the country. During our tour through India, we had the opportunity to stay at the <strong>Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata<\/strong>, and here\u2019s our detailed review.<\/p>\n<h2>Location of the Hotel<\/h2>\n<p>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hyatt.com\/hyatt-centric\/kolct-hyatt-centric-ballygunge-kolkata\" target=\"_blank\">Hyatt Centric Ballygunge<\/a> is situated in the southern part of Kolkata. <strong>Kolkata International Airport (CCU)<\/strong> is about an hour\u2019s drive away. While public transport is an option, we recommend against it, especially if you\u2019re travelling with luggage. An Uber taxi is a more convenient and affordable choice, costing around \u00a310 for a 45-minute ride. The city centre is approximately half an hour away by taxi or bus, though traffic can cause delays.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/insideflyer.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Destination-Bestemming-Kolkata-India-11-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata\"\/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/insideflyer.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Destination-Bestemming-Kolkata-India-4-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>The Hyatt Centric hotel opened in April 2024, offering modern amenities. A large TV offers both local and international channels.<\/p>\n<p>At the back of the room, there\u2019s a small sitting area with a chair, table, and a bench by the window, along with a mini fridge, kettle, two bottles of water, tea bags, and instant coffee.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/insideflyer.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Review-Hyatt-Centric-Ballygunge-Kolkata-Twin-Room-5-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Twin Beds Room\"\/><\/figure>\n<h3>The Bathroom<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>2 Twin Bed Room<\/strong> includes a bathroom with a walk-in shower, spacious sink, and a variety of amenities such as a toothbrush, razor, and hairdryer.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/insideflyer.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Review-Hyatt-Centric-Ballygunge-Kolkata-Twin-Room-4-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Bathroom\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>The bathroom features a large mirror and a smaller shaving mirror. While there are limited hooks for towels, the shower is equipped with both a hand and rain shower.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/insideflyer.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Review-Hyatt-Centric-Ballygunge-Kolkata-Twin-Room-3-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Bathroom\"\/><\/figure>\n<h3>Breakfast at Restaurant Yayavar<\/h3>\n<p>Breakfast is served daily at the <strong>Yayavar<\/strong> restaurant on the 2nd floor. On weekdays, breakfast runs from 7:00 to 10:30 and on weekends until 11:00.
