Riyadh Air, the new Jeddah-based full-service airline, revealed on Monday, April 7, 2025, that it has finally received its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the country\u2019s aviation authorities. The carrier says it will now begin its final preparations to start regular scheduled passenger flights later in 2025.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued by Saudi Arabia\u2019s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), the issuance of the AOC confirms Riyadh Air\u2019s full compliance with Saudi Arabia\u2019s aviation regulations, international standards, and flight safety requirements under the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis milestone follows GACA\u2019s comprehensive audit of the airline\u2019s technical and aircraft systems, operational readiness, equipment, and the qualifications of both flight and ground personnel. It affirms the Kingdom\u2019s commitment to developing a world-class aviation sector aligned with the Saudi Aviation Strategy,\u201d said the GACA statement.<\/p>\n
