Metaplanet said it earned 770.3 million yen in revenue using this method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRelative to direct spot purchase at that time, the strategy enabled the company to acquire more bitcoin per yen deployed \u2013 benefitting from premium income and a reduced effective cost basis,\u201d Metaplanet\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Metaplanet_JP\/status\/1906975157098348990\/photo\/1\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said in a statement on Tuesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Metaplanet\u2019s latest BTC purchase makes it the ninth largest public holder of bitcoin,\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bitcointreasuries.net\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to data tracked by Bitcoin Treasuries<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/3350.T\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tokyo-listed shares<\/a>\u00a0closed 2% at 409 yen on Tuesday, comfortably outperforming the Nikkei 225,\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/%5EN225\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">which was unchanged on the day<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n            \n        <\/div>\r\n<br>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Metaplanet purchased the bitcoin for an average purchase price of around 14.6 million yen and has spent a total of 10.15 billion yen to buy bitcoin.
