The Dragon Ball franchise has been home to some of the most powerful and iconic characters in all of anime.

From DBZ to DBS, and now with a new generation in DB: Daima and hints at future arcs, the question remains: who are the strongest Dragon Ball characters in 2025?

In this definitive list, we’ll explore the most powerful Dragon Ball characters ranked based on canon feats. We’ll consider all transformations, power scaling, and recent developments across the series.

Whether you’re a long-time fan or just getting into the series, here’s a breakdown of the characters who truly dominate the Dragon Ball universe.

Zeno, the ruler of all realities, effortlessly claims the top spot.

Zeno isn’t a fighter in the traditional sense, but in terms of raw destructive ability and hierarchy, no one in the Dragon Ball multiverse surpasses him.

The Grand Priest, father of all angels, is considered one of the most powerful beings in existence.

While he hasn’t fought yet, his placement in the cosmic hierarchy and reactions from other gods place him firmly at the top.

Beerus, despite holding back in every fight so far, remains one of the strongest known characters.

He hasn’t fought seriously yet, which implies he might still be stronger than both Goku and Vegeta in a real fight.

In the most shocking twist of the decade, Frieza returns in DBS with a new form: Black Frieza.

Once a galactic tyrant, Black Frieza is now a top-tier threat in the Dragon Ball universe.

In DBS: Super Hero, Gohan unlocks Beast Form, a power that rivals even the gods.

Gohan’s comeback solidifies him as one of the strongest Saiyans in 2025.

By 2025, Goku’s Ultra Instinct has evolved to new heights, with complete mastery of Instinctive Movement.

Goku continues to break his limits, making him arguably the strongest mortal in the multiverse.

Vegeta has forged his own divine path with Ultra Ego, taught by the God of Destruction, Beerus.

Vegeta’s raw power and relentless combat style make him a terrifying force. His transformation may rival or even exceed Ultra Instinct in pure offense.

Moro was one of the deadliest threats in Dragon Ball Super due to his unique magic and absorption powers.

Moro’s intelligence and trickery made him a unique and terrifying villain unlike any before him.

Canon Broly is a walking nuclear bomb. His strength scales infinitely with rage, and he has no upper limit.

Broly is still raw, but with guidance, he could eventually surpass Goku and Vegeta.

Jiren once stood as the strongest mortal without divine power.
