<\/a><\/div>\n

Italian regional carrier Sky Alps, which is due to open a base in Mostar in mid-May, has said it expects its fleet of Dash 8 aircraft to remain grounded for several months as the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) continues to perform extensive checks on the turboprops. The airline continues to maintain operations using wet-leased aircraft. According to the company\u2019s management, the grounding has so far cost Sky Alps a million euros. ENAC issued a decision to ground the airline\u2019s fleet<\/b><\/a> in late February after deficiencies in the aircraft maintenance certifications were found with respect to flight safety requirements. Certifications provided by a particular maintenance technician were discovered \u201cnot to be compliant\u201d.
