As stated in the Crop Insurance Handbook (CIH), an annual production report is required for all crops with a yield-based plan of insurance that are required to establish the approved APH yield. Additionally, an annual production report is required for all area risk protection insurance (ARPI) policies, unless specific in the special provisions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For common crop insurance policies (CCIPs)<\/strong>, the production report is used to collect the current crop year\u2019s production and is used to establish approved yield(s) for the following APH crop year, if there are no changes to the basis used to establish the insured\u2019s approved yield(s).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For ARPI policies<\/strong>, the production report collects the current crop year\u2019s production by the PRD at the end of the crop year.<\/p>\n<p>Production reports must meet all the following to be acceptable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Include all acreage and production (insured and uninsurable\/uninsured) by P\/T\/TMA as identified on the actuarial documents from the insured\u2019s operation for each APH crop year being reported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NOTE: For ARPI policies, if the acreage is unharvested, the insured must certify either unharvested and destroyed, unharvested and put to another use, unharvested appraised, or unharvested with harvest incomplete.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conform to at least the unit structure that applies for the current crop year in which the insured has an interest in the crop (see CIH for full statement)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NOTE: For ARPI policies, insureds may report production on a CCIP policy unit or lower level though units are not applicable for ARPI policies. Reference Para. 1791 in the CIH for use of production reports when switching to a CCIP policy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report all APH crop years continuously when multiple years of production history are certified; there cannot be a break in the continuity of production history.<\/li>\n<li>Be supported by acceptable production evidence.<\/li>\n<li>Be signed by the insured.<\/li>\n<li>Be submitted by the insured to ProAg by the PRD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For annual crops insured under CCIP\u00a0<\/strong><strong>policies,<\/strong> a zero-planted acreage report submitted for the current crop year will be considered an acceptable production report for the current crop year, provided the acreage report is\u00a0acceptable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For crops insured under an APRI policy, <\/strong>a zero-planted acreage report submitted for the current crop year will be considered an acceptable production report for the current crop year, provided the acreage report was acceptable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For CCIP policies<\/strong> \u2013 assigned yield provisions will apply to carryover policies if an acceptable production report for the prior crop year is not provided by the PRD.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For ARPI policies<\/strong> \u2013 if an insured does not submit an acceptable production report to ProAg by the PRD, the Protection Factor (PF) for the insured\u2019s policy in the following crop year will be limited to the lowest PF available.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As important production reporting deadlines approach, we would like to take this opportunity to provide you with some helpful information regarding production reports.
