Other cast members include <cite class=\"e person\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=251417\">Sh\u014dgo Hama<\/a><\/cite> as Ayano&#8217;s husband Ayumu, and <cite class=\"e person\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=75866\">Yumi As\u014d<\/a><\/cite> as Ayumu&#8217;s mother Yoriko.<\/p>\n<p>Atsushi Kaneshige and Miumi Sadaya are directing the series, with scripts by <cite class=\"e person\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=250769\">Atsuki Tomori<\/a><\/cite>, Azusa Tanbo, and Ayana G\u014dda. <cite class=\"e company\">AOI Pro.<\/cite> is producing the series in collaboration with PADMA.<\/p>\n<p><cite class=\"e company\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/company.php?id=5286\">Seven Seas<\/a><\/cite> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2020-04-24\/seven-seas-adds-new-manga-by-takako-shimura-kabi-nagata\/.158953\">licensed<\/a> the series, and it describes the story:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nAyano, an elementary school teacher in her thirties, stops by a bar one day and meets another woman named Akari. Sparks fly as the two chat, and before the night is over, Ayano even goes in for a kiss. Akari is intrigued but confused\u2026especially when she discovers that Ayano has a husband! Both Ayano and Akari are about to find out that love doesn&#8217;t get any easier, even as you grow older.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Shimura <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2019-02-24\/takako-shimura-new-manga-story-visual-march-launch-unveiled\/.143701\">launched<\/a> the manga in <cite class=\"e company\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/company.php?id=88\">Kodansha<\/a><\/cite>&#8216;s <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/manga.php?id=4660\">Kiss<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> magazine in March 2019, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/fr\/news\/2023-06-02\/le-manga-si-nous-etions-adultes-sera-conclu-avec-son-dixieme-tome\/.198690\">ended<\/a> it in August 2023. <cite class=\"e company\">Kodansha<\/cite> published 10 compiled book volumes for the manga. <cite class=\"e company\">Seven Seas<\/cite> published the 10th volume on February 11.<\/p>\n<p>Shimura is best known for her <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/manga.php?id=7330\">Wandering Son<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> and <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/manga.php?id=8149\">Sweet Blue Flowers<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> manga, both of which have inspired television anime series adaptations in 2011 and 2009 respectively. She also drew the original character designs for the <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/manga.php?id=16929\">Aldnoah.Zero<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> anime, <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=18153\">Battery the Animation<\/a><\/cite><\/cite>, and the <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=26982\">Overtake!<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> racing anime.
