I take one week off from reporting Columbus restaurant news, and SO MUCH happens! Here\u2019s the latest:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fans of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/charbarcolumbus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Char Bar<\/a>, rejoice! After being closed since a car hit it last September, the beloved dive bar on High Street near the Convention Center reopened yesterday.<\/li>\n<li>A campus institution has closed! After nearly 50 years in business, <strong>Apollo\u2019s Greek Kitchen<\/strong> closed up shop this week. The space will soon be replaced by Burger Royale, a local food truck.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2022\/07\/27\/your-new-favorite-watering-hole-should-be-the-bar-at-echo-spirits\/\">Echo Spirits Distilling Co.<\/a> announced that it is expanding to Powell in partnership with R&amp;S Vineyards. The new cocktail bar, dubbed Echo Spirits on the Vine, will be connected to the newly purchased R&amp;S. The distillery will operate the tasting room and bar at 3510 Clark-Shaw Rd.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolrepublic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bristol Republic<\/a> announced last week that it will be leaving its Short North location and moving to a new two-level location in Dublin\u2019s Bridge Park later this year. The new space, found at 4495 Bridge Park Ave., will allow for more live music, as well as expanded food and drink offerings.<\/li>\n<li>Rise Brands announced last week that the original <a href=\"https:\/\/www.16-bitbar.com\/columbus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">16-Bit Bar + Arcade<\/a> location at 254 S. Fourth St. downtown closed. There are six more 16-Bit locations still, but only one in central Ohio, in Dublin.<\/li>\n<li>Last week, the Hilton Downtown announced that head chef Sebastian la Rocca has left as the executive chef of its two restaurants, <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2022\/11\/10\/chef-sebastian-la-rocca-brings-fyr-to-the-new-hilton-tower\/\">FYR<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2023\/09\/19\/stories-on-high-hilton-columbus\/\">Stories on High<\/a>. An exact reason wasn\u2019t given for the departure, aside from the chef saying he needed \u201cpersonal time to focus on my passions\u201d on social media.<\/li>\n<li>The Brazilian steakhouse chain <a href=\"https:\/\/fogodechao.com\/location\/columbus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fogo de Ch\u0101o<\/a> opened this week at 1425 Polaris Pkwy.<\/li>\n<li>Dublin-based gelato and panini spot <a href=\"https:\/\/fogodechao.com\/location\/columbus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ciao Caf\u00e9<\/a> opened its second location recently, this one at 214 Thurman Ave. in German Village.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/borgatapizzacafe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Borgata Pizza Cafe<\/a> announced that it will be leaving Budd Dairy Food Hall after Sunday, April 6. Borgata was one of the original vendors at the food hall; their Linworth restaurant remains open.<\/li>\n<li>Espresso Air in Westerville announced a new matcha and chocolate shop called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espressoair.com\/westhouse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WestHouse<\/a>, coming to 21 E. State St. in Uptown Westerville later this year.<\/li>\n<li>This week Mikey\u2019s Late Night Slice launched its own canned cocktail line, called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latenightslice.com\/mikeyshooch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mikey\u2019s Hooch<\/a>. The offerings include a trio of drinks: Lemon Drop, Pineapple Mojito, and Bourbon Mule. They\u2019ll initially be available at Mikey\u2019s High &amp; Vine, 4th Street, OSU, OTR, and Oddfellows\/Short North locations.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/tomatillosrestaurant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tomatillos Authentic Mexican Restaurant<\/a> moved from its Linworth home to a new storefront at 7838 Olentangy River Rd. in the same plaza at Hills Market.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2022\/10\/05\/see-inside-bake-me-happys-new-schumacher-place-location\/\">Bake Me Happy<\/a> opens a new concept called Core Caf\u00e9 at Bob Crane Community Center in Upper Arlington on Monday, April 7. The cafe features coffee, pastries, and grab and go meals from a variety of local vendors. The center is located at 3200 Tremont Rd.<\/li>\n<li>Taco chain <a href=\"https:\/\/deltaco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Del Taco<\/a> has opened its third Ohio location at 8787 Owenfield Dr. in Powell.
