It was followed minutes later by a 6.4 magnitude aftershock.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXc-M1v07oH8ZB3f6Xa2F_2-xOk6QuYRKPBmSWGJ5pK7GTxUxWCATmu5gk7Lqk4xeamJ3hFsHGj9yw2Ck0w9Dse3lo3SzVTZttDP30beUuYzFT2fRnP7c-m2B334BtW2prljo39OIA?key=hehX8vipqH2kmlor76IKREc1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Naypyidaw Airport, located about 280 kilometers from the epicenter, was heavily damaged. The airport\u2019s control tower is reported to have collapsed from the quake, resulting in five casualties.
