Details available on request.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;\">One advantage they have is that the \u201cgood\u201d fungal material<br \/>\ncan be applied once disease is noticed [also used before if required] and that<br \/>\nit can develop and spread and be active in the soil in effect becoming a<br \/>\npossible long term solution to the suppression of turf diseases by effectively moving<br \/>\nthe balance back towards a positive fungal colony in the soil, not a disease causing<br \/>\ncollection of fungal species \u2013 these are suppressed.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;\">I thought the recent scientific paper based on work on <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Zoysia japonica<\/i> turf in Guangzhou [<br \/>\nsouthern China] to be most interesting even if conducted in a greenhouse.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;\">The pathogenic fungi [ which included a range of known<br \/>\ndisease vectors] were all significantly inhibited by an isolate of <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Trichoderma viride<\/i> and this organism had<br \/>\npositive effects on zoysia turf growth.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">The reference is: Urban Forestry & Urban Greening Volume<br \/>\n37, January 2019, Pages 168-172<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0cm;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;\">Root zone mixture affects the population of root-invading<br \/>\nfungi in zoysia grass – by Tianzeng Liu, Jialing Li and Juming Zhang from – <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0cm;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;\">College of Forestry and Landscape Architecture,<br \/>\nSouth China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, Guangdong 510642, China Guangdong<br \/>\nEngineering Research Center for Grassland Science, China<\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- spacer for skins that want sidebar and main to be the same height--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- end content-wrapper -->\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- end outer-wrapper --><br \/>\n<!--Il est de votre ressort d\\x27informer les visiteurs \\xe0 propos des cookies utilis\\xe9s et des donn\\xe9es collect\\xe9es sur votre blog.
