Terri Sewell, AL-07, released the following statement on Tuesday:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAs a former member of the House Intelligence Committee, I was horrified to hear that officials at the highest levels of the Trump Administration were illegally texting highly classified information including war plans via Signal, a commercial phone application, putting our service members in harm\u2019s way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAmericans put their trust in our leaders to exercise the utmost care when dealing with matters of national security. I seriously question the judgement and capacity of these Trump officials to inform and implement our national security policy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Representative Sewell represents Alabama\u2019s 7th congressional district.<\/p>\n<p><!-- CONTENT END 1 -->\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. Rep.
