Airshow 2024 for 20 Boeing 777-9 and 20 787-10 aircraft.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from the South Korean government met with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/tag\/boeing\" title=\"\">Boeing<\/a> President and CEO Kelly Ortberg and the CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geaerospace.com\/\" title=\"\">GE Aerospace<\/a> CEO Russel Stokes on March 21, 2025, along with the Korean Air boss Walter Cho at a signing ceremony to advance their strategic partnership. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe signing ceremony underscores Korean Air\u2019s\u00a0commitment to collaboration with Boeing and GE Aerospace prior to the finalization of large-scale contracts with a total value of $32.7 billion,\u201d a spokesperson for the South Korean government said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>Korean Air and Boeing will soon finalize a firm order for 20 Boeing 777-9 and 20\u00a0787-10 by 2033, and options for an additional ten aircraft worth $24.9 billion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While the airline and GE Aerospace will finalize a firm order for eight spare engines plus options for two additional engines and maintenance services worth $7.8 billion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough these collaborations with prominent U.S. aviation companies, Korean Air is set to further strengthen its position in the global aviation market, accelerating its journey to becoming one the world\u2019s top ten airlines,\u201d\u00a0the South Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Duk-geun said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>Boeing and Korean Air unveiled the airline\u2019s plan to purchase up to 50 of Boeing\u2019s widebody aircraft on the first day of the 2024 edition of the Farnborough Airshow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Korean Air also recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/articles\/korean-air-new-livery-revealed\" title=\"\">unveiled a brand-new livery<\/a> and company branding to mark the start of a new era in the carrier\u2019s history following the merger with Asiana Airlines.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"cnvs-block-posts cnvs-block-posts-1742727448986
