How to convert a Live Photo into a still photo on an iPhone<\/h2>\n

Apple allows you to convert a Live Photo into a still photo from within the Photos app in iOS, and there are multiple ways to do it, depending on your requirements. Let\u2019s take a look.<\/p>\n

1. Turn off the Live Photos effect<\/h3>\n

The most basic way to turn a Live Photo into a sill photo is to turn off the Live Photo effect like this.<\/p>\n

  1. Go to the Photos<\/strong> app and open the Live Photo you want to convert.<\/li>\n
  2. Tap the Live <\/strong>text icon in the upper-left corner and select Live Off.<\/strong>\"Turning\"Turning\n<\/picture>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That\u2019s it. Your Live Photo is now a still photo, meaning it won\u2019t play the short clip when you tap and hold it.<\/p>\n

    2. Duplicate a Live Photo as a still photo<\/h3>\n

    If you want to extract a still photo from a Live Photo, you can do it using these steps:<\/p>\n

    1. Open the Live Photo in the Photos<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n
    2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select Duplicate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    3. When prompted to choose how you want to duplicate the photo, select Duplicate as Still Photo.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      3. Convert a Live Photo to a still photo using the Files app<\/h3>\n

      Another way to convert a Live Photo to a still photo is with the Files app. Here are the steps you need to follow:<\/p>\n

      1. Open the Live Photo you want to convert. <\/li>\n
      2. Tap the share <\/strong>icon, scroll down, and tap Save to Files<\/strong> from the menu.<\/li>\n
      3. Select the folder where you want to save the still photo and tap Save.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
