After COVID was announced In early 2020, we were first told to \u201cshelter in place\u201d for 15 days to \u201cflatten the curve\u201d to protect hospitals from being overwhelmed. That morphed into months of unprecedented lockdown of healthy people (aka martial law). The Declaration was written by Dr. Jay Bhattacharya<\/a> of Stanford University, Dr. Martin Kulldorff<\/a> then of Harvard Medical School, and Dr. Sunetra Gupta<\/a> of Oxford University. The Declaration has since been signed by more than 940,000 people including doctors and scientists!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Declaration was written from a public health and humanitarian perspective with special concerns about how the COVID-19 strategies were forcing children, the working class, and the poor.\u00a0The Declaration warned that the policies would lead to higher COVID and non-COVID mortality than the focused protection plan called for in the Declaration.\u00a0 The Declaration has since been signed by more than 940,000 people including doctors and scientists!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, Dr. Francis Collins<\/a> then Director of the National Institute of Health (NIH), dismissed the authors as \u201cfringe scientists\u201d and refused to meet with them. On 10\/8\/20, Dr. <\/strong>Collins emailed Dr. Anthony Fauci <\/a>\u00a0then head of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), to say: <\/strong>\u2018There needs to be a quick and devastating take down\u2019<\/em><\/a>.
