Whether or not you\u2019re fan of those warmer spring days, there\u2019s always time for a quick trip to another world, so we kick off our announcements with a touch isekai dark fantasy atop one decidedly large pile of humans.<\/p>\n

\u201cAloof and logical middle school third-year Yusuke Yotsuya is transported to a game-like alternate world. He becomes a third player and takes on a dangerous quest with his classmates Iu Shindo and Kusue Hakozaki, who were transported there earlier. The cold Yusuke eschews emotionalism and examines all elements with detachment, sometimes even toying with the lives of his companions. Can he protect his party from attacking monsters, difficult incidents, and powerful scheming enemies and win the game?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

First of all, can we just take a moment to admire that slipcase? I mean, just how eye-catchingly incredible is it? And not just because it reminds us a little of Kraftwerk\u2019s The Man-Machine<\/em>. <\/p>\n

Next, it\u2019s time to fill your first BLEACH Collector\u2019s Edition set, with our Part 5 Blu-ray slotting beautifully and smoothly into that lovely box. Doesn\u2019t it feel good to complete something?<\/p>\n

Woodpecker Detective\u2019s Office<\/strong><\/strong> Collector\u2019s Edition<\/p>\n

Next on our list is a mystery acquisition\u2026 no really, it\u2019s a mystery series based on a novel! If you\u2019re anything like us, you love a good head-scratching mysterious case, and this series delivers in spades\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is the end of the Meiji Era. The genius poet Ishikawa Takuboku, who\u2019s struggling financially, starts a detective business out of his lodging in response to a certain murder case. He calls it the Woodpecker Detective\u2019s Office. \u201cThe ghosts of the Twelve-Story Tower in Asakusa,\u201d \u201cthe man-eating figure who wanders the streets on snowy nights\u201d\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

Takuboku involves himself in one bizarre case after another with his hometown acquaintance, Kindaichi Kyosuke, as his assistant.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

We really enjoyed capturing the Meiji era vibe of the series in our Collector\u2019s Edition release, and we hope it shows! This edition of the series sports a rigid slipcase, inside of which you\u2019ll find an Amaray containing the two Blu-ray discs. Also within that slipcase you\u2019ll find a set of four character art cards, as well as an A3 poster to round things off.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll also be making this series available in the US, so look out for this title through one of our US partners in the near future too!<\/p>\n

If you want to see one of your favourite anime directors exploring absurdist comedy (with bonus vampire!), then step right up\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cMitsugu Bamba is a high school girl who is crazy about donating her blood, to the point that she feels compelled to visit a local blood bank despite the unfriendly nurse. One day, Mitsugu encounters a beautiful girl there who looks like she has come from overseas. The girl is so pale that she appears ready to faint. Instead, she suddenly starts trashing the blood bank. The girl then loses consciousness and so Mitsugu takes her home\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

A Destructive God Sits Next to Me<\/strong><\/strong> Collector\u2019s Edition<\/p>\n

We\u2019re sticking with comedy to close out our month, with another brand-new acquisition to surprise and delight both UK and US audiences \u2013 it\u2019s time to enjoy some high school hijinks with a decidedly oddball cast of characters in A Destructive God Sits Next to Me<\/em>!<\/p>\n

\u201cHigh school student Koyuki Seri has a disposition for whipping out witty retorts\u2026 but hates people who wait for those retorts! Much to his dismay, he had caught the eye of Hanadori Kabuto, who suffers from a terrible case of delusions of grandeur and everything about him could warrant a retort. Seri swears that he will never utter a retort about Kabuto, but he just can\u2019t hold back. Not to mention, there seem to be even more strange people gathering around him\u2026 A high school boys\u2019 comedy that\u2019ll make you laugh and laugh (but can also be cute at times) is about to start!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In keeping with the nature of the series, cute and colourful is the order of the day for our Collector\u2019s Edition release. With a rigid slipcase storing the series and its two-disc Amaray case, you\u2019ll also find contained inside a set of four art cards alongside an A3 poster.<\/p>\n
