The launch year, or \u201cyear introduced,\u201d indicates when Apple first released that Mac model. So, you\u2019re all set in this regard, assuming you don\u2019t have an old Mac with an Intel processor.<\/p>\n<h2>See the number of CPU and GPU cores<\/h2>\n<p>You can learn how many performance and efficiency cores your Mac processor has by going to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2023\/03\/02\/how-to-system-report-mac\/\">System Information<\/a> page. Apple\u2019s first generation of M1 chips started with 8 CPU cores and 8 GPU cores, while the 2025 Mac Studio with the M3 Ultra chip can have up to 32 CPU cores and 80 GPU cores. However, the actual capacity you see in System Settings will always be a few GBs less than advertised. A new MacBook battery starts at 100%, but as you use it, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2024\/02\/29\/tips-to-increase-macbook-battery-lifespan\/\">this percentage reduces over time<\/a>. Unlike maximum battery capacity, a lower cycle count is better.<\/p>\n<h2>See the screen size and resolution<\/h2>\n<p>You can see the built-in retina display size and resolution of your MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or iMac by going to <strong>System Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>General<\/strong> &gt; <strong>About<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Displays<\/strong>. Go to <strong>System Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Displays<\/strong> and click the <strong>Refresh Rate<\/strong> section if you see it.
