This term referes to Canadians. We have the Vancouver Canucks, one of Canada\u2019s most beloved hockey teams, and in the 1980s, our downhill skiers who dominated the World Cup circuit were called the Crazy Canucks, and I am personally a proud Canuck. If you haven\u2019t figured it out yet, Canuck is another term for a Canadian. It\u2019s so much simpler and shorter. I\u2019m a Canuck man!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-eh\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Eh\"\/>2. Eh<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>This is our most <a href=\"https:\/\/theplanetd.com\/facts-about-canada\/\">popular Canadian<\/a> saying\u00a0and everyone mocks us by using \u201ceh\u201d in the most ridiculous phrases and they never get it right. So I am going to give you a quick lesson on how to the word \u201ceh\u201d.<br \/>All you have to do is make a statement like \u201cIt is a very nice day out today.\u201d If you add \u201ceh\u201d to the end of that statement, you can turn it into a question that will require a friendly reply from the person you are talking to.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-loonie-and-toonie\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Loonie_and_Toonie\"\/>3. Naturally, when the <strong>two-dollar coin<\/strong> came out, we named it a \u201cToonie\u201d because it rhymes with Loonie. Logical, right?<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-tuque\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Tuque\"\/>4. Tuque<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>A <strong>knit winter hat<\/strong>, known elsewhere around the world as a beanie. Every Canadian owns at least one. I went my entire childhood and a large portion of my adult life not realizing that this was a word only used in Canada. <strong>\u201cTuque\u201d as it is spelled in Quebec<\/strong><em> (it is spelled toque in English Canada)<\/em> is a unique Canadian slang word used across the country to describe a winter hat. <strong>Buy your own <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2iECEyI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow sponsored\">Canadian tuque on Amazon.\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-hoser\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Hoser\"\/>5. Hoser<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Speaking of Bob and Doug Mackenzie, it was these two lovable Hosers that brought the term Hoser to the mainstream in Canada.  Hoser is an old-school insult made famous by <strong>Bob and Doug McKenzie<\/strong>, meaning an idiot or loser. Example:<br \/>\u201cTake off, ya <strong>hoser<\/strong>!\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-regular-double-double\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"6_Regular_Double-Double\"\/>6. Regular \/ Double-Double<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>At Tim Hortons, a \u201cregular\u201d coffee comes with one cream and one sugar. A \u201cdouble-double\u201d? Two creams, two sugars. Sweet enough to make a beaver blush.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-7-rink-rat\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"7_Rink_Rat\"\/>7. Rink Rat<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Someone who practically lives at the <strong>hockey rink<\/strong>, whether they\u2019re a player, skater, or just a superfan. I was a rink rat, people were always saying \u201cShe\u2019s a real rink rat, always practicing her skating.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-8-two-four\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"8_Two-Four\"\/>8. Two-Four<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>A case of 24 beers. \u201cPick up a two-four for the party.\u201d We <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1ZoffQZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow sponsored\">buy our beer <\/a>at the Beer Store in Canada and a box of 24 beers is simply shortened to the words \u201ctwo four.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-9-molson-muscle\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"9_Molson_Muscle\"\/>9. Molson Muscle<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>A beer belly. \u201cHe\u2019s been working on his Molson muscle all winter.\u201d Well, older Canadians anyway. Most of the GenZ drink craft beer, and wouldn\u2019t touch Molson.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-10-hydro\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"10_Hydro\"\/>10. Hydro<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Canadians don\u2019t pay an \u201celectric bill.\u201d We pay for <strong>hydro<\/strong>, even in places where our power isn\u2019t hydroelectric. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-11-knapsack\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"11_Knapsack\"\/>11. Knapsack<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Our word for <strong>backpack<\/strong> or <strong>rucksack<\/strong>, especially among grade school students.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-12-washroom\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"12_Washroom\"\/>12. Washroom<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Forget \u201crestroom\u201d or \u201cbathroom.\u201d In Canada, it\u2019s always the <strong>washroom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-13-chocolate-bar\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"13_Chocolate_Bar\"\/>13. Chocolate Bar<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>What the rest of the world calls a <strong>candy bar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-14-chinook\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"14_Chinook\"\/>14. Chinook<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>A <strong>warm winter wind<\/strong> that can melt Alberta\u2019s snow in hours. Being born in Alberta, Canada, my parents often talked about Chinooks blowing in from the mountains, bringing warmer weather from British Columbia, and how nice it was.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-15-out-and-about-not-oot-and-aboot\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"15_Out_and_About_Not_Oot_and_Aboot\"\/>15. Out and About Not Oot and Aboot<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>We don\u2019t say \u201coot and aboot.\u201d It\u2019s closer to \u201ca-boat.\u201d Trust us. Zed<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Canadians say \u201cZed\u201d instead of \u201cZee\u201d for the letter <strong>Z<\/strong>\u2014except when referring to <strong>ZZ Top<\/strong>. I used to drive a Zed 28 car. Americans call it Zee28, and that\u2019s just weird. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-17-may-2-4-weekend\">17.
