{"id":143950,"date":"2025-03-19T15:41:09","date_gmt":"2025-03-19T15:41:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/malaysia-finalizes-new-mh370-search-agreement\/"},"modified":"2025-03-19T15:41:09","modified_gmt":"2025-03-19T15:41:09","slug":"malaysia-finalizes-new-mh370-search-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=143950","title":{"rendered":"Malaysia finalizes new MH370 search agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Cabinet of Malaysia has approved the terms and conditions of a new agreement to resume the search for the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared more than 10 years ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During a local press briefing on March 19, 2025, Malaysia\u2019s Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced that Malaysia has finalized an agreement with Ocean Infinity, a private marine robotics company, to continue the search efforts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Following the Cabinet\u2019s approval, Malaysia\u2019s Ministry of Transport will sign the agreement with Ocean Infinity, the country\u2019s national broadcaster Jabatan Penyiaran Malaysia (RTM) <a href=\"https:\/\/berita.rtm.gov.my\/nasional\/senarai-berita-nasional\/senarai-artikel\/pencarian-bangkai-pesawat-mh370-kabinet-setuju-terma-perjanjian-ocean-infinity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>The minister said that the search will take place in a previously unchecked area of about 15,000 square kilometers in the southern Indian Ocean under a \u201cno find, no fee\u201d arrangement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to this principle, the government does not need to issue any payment to this company if no wreckage is found. A fee of $70 million will be paid to Ocean Infinity if the wreckage of MH370 is found,\u201d Loke said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 vanished on March 8, 2014. The aircraft, a Boeing 777, was traveling from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) with 227 passengers and 12 crew members onboard.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>Less than an hour after takeoff, the aircraft lost contact with air traffic control while flying over the South China Sea and has not been located since.
