Alabama Power\u2019s outage prevention technology kept nearly 28,000 customers from experiencing prolonged outages.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur teams prepared in advance of this weekend\u2019s severe weather and worked around the clock after storms moved through our state to get the lights back on for our customers,\u201d said Corey Sweeney, manager of Alabama Power\u2019s Storm Center operations. \u201cWe are grateful to our team and the 3,500 additional resources who worked to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Alabama Weather Blog is pleased to present an excerpt from a featured article in partnership with the Alabama News Center.
