With such a wide selection of <strong>craft beers<\/strong>, the temptation to have just one more is overwhelming\u2014whether you plan to or not. This is a venue where you can enjoy drinks just as much as a great meal. <strong>No unnecessary frills or fuss<\/strong>. It\u2019s simply good.<\/p>\n<p>The interior matches the philosophy behind this place: not too many embellishments. Bar stools, chairs, and tables that could have come straight from an old <strong>pub<\/strong>\u00a0combined with an <strong>industrial look<\/strong>. There are always three main dishes to share (for at least two people)<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">. A\u00a0<strong>large grill<\/strong>\u00a0does the work.\u00a0<strong>Rump steak with chimichurri<\/strong> is a great choice, as is<\/span>\u00a0<strong>red mullet with Dutch shrimp sauce<\/strong> and <strong>pumpkin with duxelles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As for snacks, the <strong>devilled eggs with smoked eel cr\u00e8me<\/strong> are a must (you won\u2019t believe how good they are!), and the bread from <strong>Keppler<\/strong> is precisely what you\u2019d hope for. Side dishes are kept simple: just <strong>salad and potatoes<\/strong>. It\u2019s much like you\u2019d have at home, but just a little bit better.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Pelusa cheesecake<\/strong> is one for the books. With an unusual combination of <strong>red beetroot<\/strong> and classic ingredients, you must save room for it.<\/p>\n<p>And then there\u2019s the\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">massive drinks menu<\/span>.\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">The\u00a0<strong>beer selection,<\/strong> in particular, deserves an award.<\/span>\u00a0As one of the few places in Amsterdam, they serve \u2018<strong>wild beer<\/strong>,\u2019 which is fermented in a unique way using bacteria and natural airborne yeasts. Not a beer lover? No problem.
