{"id":140949,"date":"2025-03-18T04:51:11","date_gmt":"2025-03-18T04:51:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/business\/legal\/cyprus-aml-law-in-english\/"},"modified":"2025-03-18T04:51:11","modified_gmt":"2025-03-18T04:51:11","slug":"cyprus-aml-law-in-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=140949","title":{"rendered":"Cyprus AML Law in English"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cysec.gov.cy\/CMSPages\/GetFile.aspx?guid=3c138c88-b3df-4de3-b53e-c7951509a5db\">21st of June 2022<\/a> the <a href=\"https:\/\/thecypruslawyer.com\/tag\/cysec\/\">CYSEC<\/a> announced the translation o the Cyprus AML Law in English.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The prevention and suppression of money laundering and terrorist financing law 2007 \u2013 2021 forms the backbone of combating money laundering and terrorist financing for Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The unofficial consolidation of laws from 2007 until 2021 include the latest significant amendment which was the<a href=\"https:\/\/thecypruslawyer.com\/cyprus-beneficial-ownership-register\/\"> Cyprus Beneficial Owner Register<\/a> and the provisions resulting from the Cyprus national implementation of the 5th AML Directive.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For Cypriot practitioners and Compliance officers this is a welcome addition since the majority of business and operations are run using the English language rather than the Greek.
