But these upgrades are designed to make the stunning thermal pools more accessible to more people&#8217;, NSW NPWS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NSWNationalParks\/posts\/1070145311824364?rdid=AKnkmJKyvVXYff2l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said in a Facebook comment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_168600\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-168600\" class=\"wp-image-168600 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/ek5jbm9x6ox.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/17014350\/Thermal-Pool-2_resize-1024x819.jpg?lossy=1&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"819\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-168600\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The new ramp also features seating for people to enjoy<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the new access ramp, the new facilities include in-pool seating, shelters, and more accessible walkways to the new toilet block and change rooms. Thank you!&#8217;, one commenter said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Thanks NSW NPWS for making these upgrades. Optimising a difficult spot is thoughtful and appreciated&#8217;, said another.<\/p>\n<p>However, some people questioned NPWS&#8217;s decision to make the pool accessible but not the general area. &#8216;Why bother when people with mobility issues cannot get down to the pool area? Such a waste of public funds!&#8217;, one person asked.<\/p>\n<p>Some commenters highlighted that NPWS staff are happy to drive people to and from the pool upon request. &#8216;From what I observed when I was there in January, the park rangers\/staff were quite frequently driving people too and fro who looked like they needed the assistance.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_168601\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/weareexplorers.co\/?attachment_id=168601\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-168601\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-168601\" class=\"size-large wp-image-168601\" src=\"https:\/\/ek5jbm9x6ox.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/17014355\/Thermal-Pool-3_resize-1024x819.jpg?lossy=1&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"NSW\u2019s Yarrangobilly Pool has been given an accessibility makeover\" width=\"1024\" height=\"819\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-168601\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The pool now has multiple ways to access it, either via the step ladder or ramp<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>About the Yarrangobilly Caves Thermal Pool<\/h2>\n<p>Located in the Yarrangobilly area of Kosciuszko National Park, the thermal pools stay heated at a cozy 27\u00baC all year round. The main pool cascades into a children\u2019s wading pool with a surrounding picnic area to enjoy.
