Threefold Brewery is a partnership of several longtime members of Vancouver\u2019s craft beer scene including the people from Slow Hand Beer Company, Temporal Artisan Ales, and Boombox Brewing. The owners of Threefold Brewing are renovating the space at\u00a01507 Powell St, the\u00a0former home of Andina Brewing<\/a>, and making a home for\u00a0a trio of long-time and respected Vancouver beer companies.<\/p>\n\u201cThreefold is a brewery collective,\u201d \u00a0co-owner Matt Kump\u00a0tells V.I.A. \u201cThe three breweries have existed for years now, since the mid-2010s, and they\u2019re coming together to share space, resources, skill sets, expertise, and a taproom.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/bc.thegrowler.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/threefold-interior.jpeg\")

I mean that they\u2019re all craftspeople.\u201d<\/p>\n
Finding affordable space for a small brewery is difficult, Kump explains, and uniting together gives them all a chance to grow.<\/p>\n

While Threefold will be the overarching company,\u00a0Slow Hand<\/a>,\u00a0Temporal<\/a>, and\u00a0Boombox\u00a0<\/a>will still each be making their own recipes in the shared brewing space, and the taproom will have beers under each brewery\u2019s name.<\/p>\n\u201cTheir brands will stay their own brands,\u201d assures\u00a0Kump. \u201cThey produce what they want, how they want, and that\u2019s what\u2019s gonna be on tap here and for sale to go.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/bc.thegrowler.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/screenshot-2024-12-16-154816.png\")

While the brewing space is operational right now (and filled with brewing beers), the taproom is being renovated to have elements from each brewery\u2019s style.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re kind of going for a very comfortable space, very warm, inviting, themed kind of late-70s, early-80s hi-fi, to a degree,\u201d describes\u00a0Kump.<\/p>\n
Threefold is aiming to be open by February 2025.<\/p>\n
A food program will be in place, but Kump says details are being sorted on that front. Generally, the goal is for a menu that\u2019s accessible, that people don\u2019t have to spend much time thinking about.<\/p>\n
Once the taproom and menu are in place, Kump says beer-related events are the next step.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to have events where we do things like pop-ups and bringing guest chefs in or something to do special events and beer pairings.\u201d<\/p>\n
And, given the brewers\u2019 connections around the craft beer world already, they\u2019re planning on international collaborations. Kump says they\u2019re exploring working with American and Japanese brewers already, and they\u2019re looking to Belgium as well.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
