If you found yourself disappointed in that, Sam Adams\u2019 horses definitely have you covered. <\/p>\n<p>While Budweiser may have been absent, the Anheuser Busch family of brands was still on full display, embracing the changing landscape of drinkers across the country. Hard seltzers, canned cocktails, ultralight beers \u2013 and not a single potshot at Miller or mention of \u201cdrinkability.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Samuel Adams Horses Clydesdales<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hLJ7qcB1YaY\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hLJ7qcB1YaY<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boozist.com\/learn-make-beer-katie-nolan-sam-adams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sam Adams<\/a> is the Budweiser of craft beer, so if anyone was going to bring back the Clydesdales, it seems fitting that it would be them. This might also be the first Super Bowl commercial for an IPA let alone a hazy IPA. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aviation Gin with Ryan Reynolds, Diddy, and David Beckham<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RhfKxrbatlE\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RhfKxrbatlE<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>I don\u2019t think this is actually a Super Bowl commercial, but Ryan Reynolds definitely knows how to seize the moment. He brought together three of Diageo\u2019s celebrity powerhouses \u2013 himself, Diddy, and David Beckham \u2013 for a stellar cocktail commercial featuring each of their respective brands. Don\u2019t try this at home. Literally.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Michelob Ultra Super Bowl Commercial \u2013 Hard Seltzer<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Michelob ULTRA Organic Seltzer | &quot;All-Star Cast&quot;\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3F1KdZCJ6Vg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Michelob Ultra called in Don Cheadle and a boatload of celebrity impersonators, including a stellar Christopher Walker soundalike, in order to brag about how their hard seltzer has 2 fewer carbs than the competition. For reference, that\u2019s 1\/10th of a banana\u2019s worth of carbs. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guiness Super Bowl Commercial feat. Joe Montana <\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lKqusyiHjSM\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lKqusyiHjSM<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Guinness went with a semi-serious Super Bowl commercial this year, talking about how last year sucked, and this year will hopefully be better. For me though, it just seemed like a recut of the Converse \u201cfall seven times, stand up eight\u201d commercial from a few years ago, only this was about COVID-19 instead of Dwyane Wade. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bud Light Legends Save the Super Bowl<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zFfsO49AfzI\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zFfsO49AfzI<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Bud Light couldn\u2019t decided on a new theme for this year, so they brought back their Bud Light Legends (except one) and referenced a two year old movie. And you know what? I\u2019m here for it. We all need a little more Cedric the Entertainer and Bud Bowl bottles in our lives. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cut Out with Cutwater Super Bowl Commercial<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cut Out With Cutwater\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sh0VL55suzM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Canned cocktails finally get their moment in the sun, and Cutwater did a great job of demonstrating their use case. You don\u2019t need them for sitting around the house when you can easily make a real cocktail. You want them when you\u2019re out doing fun stuff. That\u2019s pitch-perfect marketing. Also, where do I get one of those coolers? <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade Commercial<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=g6CVKs77X74\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=g6CVKs77X74<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>If you\u2019re going to use a tired, old phrase, do it big. That\u2019s exactly what Bud Light did for their seltzer lemonade. They even went the self-awarewolves route by cutting of the, \u201cwhen life hands you lemons,\u201d line. Something about the name Seltzer Lemonade just sucks though. Those feel like two different products, and my unwarranted opinion is that it should have been sparkling lemonade.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Let\u2019s Grab a Beer \u2013 Anheuser-Busch Super Bowl Commercial<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gq7QhjTJAFo\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gq7QhjTJAFo<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>With Budweiser on the sidelines, who would step in and offer a beer commercial that tugs at the heartstrings? Well, turns out it was Budweiser. Or Anheuser-Busch to be more accurate. It\u2019s the feel-good spot of the bunch, and it makes me want to go grab a beer with someone more than anything else. Someday, folks. Someday.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cHappy\u201d Michelob Ultra<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Michelob ULTRA | \u201cHappy\u201d Super Bowl\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6nzZW8BN-WY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Michelob Ultra takes the award for laziest commercial of the day, with more than 50% of its runtime being just photos with voiceover. I guess if you\u2019re going to spend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/news\/super-bowl-commercials-cost-2021\/o496m61j4lkn19kxoygv9690a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$11 million dollars<\/a> on a 60-second Super Bowl commercial, you probably need to save a few bucks on the actual production.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cHeartbeat Billionaire\u201d Stella Artois Super Bowl Commercial<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Stella Artois | Heartbeat Billionaire\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2ickWfpGyeQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Lenny Kravitz is still around, so that\u2019s good I guess. Stella has had a tough road to road to climb ever since craft beer made people realize that being an \u201cimport\u201d didn\u2019t necessarily mean it was better.
