Norman Foster, the 89-year-old Manchester-born founder of Foster + Partners, explained the vision: \u2018It starts with the idea of making something which is so intense it brings you close to the pitch. Acoustically it cultivates the roar.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Much like Apple\u2019s commitment to sustainability, the stadium will feature a massive canopy that generates solar power and collects rainwater, creating one of the world\u2019s largest public spaces.
