February\u2019s on-time performance (OTP) results once again reflect the importance placed on this metric by airlines around the world with five airlines achieving an OTP of more than 90%:<\/p>\n

- Copa Airlines 93%<\/li>\n
- Iberia 92%<\/li>\n

- Amongst the global airlines 22 reported no cancellations<\/strong> in the month with IndiGo<\/a> leading the way having operated nearly 63,000 flights without one cancellation, a remarkable level of reliability.
<\/strong><\/li>\n- Safair, <\/strong>the South African regional airline, holds on to first place with an OTP rate of 95.82%<\/strong> reporting only two cancellations in the month despite a challenging operating environment in the market with shortages of ATC controllers and navigation support at some airports.<\/li>\n
- There has been some change this month amongst the top five global airlines with both Aeromexico<\/a> (#2)<\/strong> and Austrian Airlines (#5) improving their OTP<\/strong> at the expense of the two Japanese airlines – Fuji Dreams (#8) and Star Flyer (#12).<\/li>\n
- Amongst the large airlines<\/strong> (operating 20,000+ flights in the month) British Airways<\/a> were the best performing carrier<\/strong> with an OTP rate of 86.95%.<\/strong> A significant improvement on their OTP from January (77.38%) and the airline also cancelled fewer flights in February than January with 154 flights affected in the month vs 456 in January.<\/li>\n
